Connor's first Christmas

Christmas was lots of fun this year. Even though Connor doesn't "get it", we went through all the motions. He got his picture made with Santa Claus, he dressed up in Christmas PJs, he received two filled stockings and he got lots of presents. We went to Houston to my parent's house on Christmas Eve and had our Christmas PJs on for Christmas morning. One of Connor's favorite gifts might also be the cheapest, which is a little can that sounds like a sheep when you shake it. I knew he would love it because he loves my iPhone application, which is a cow that MOOs when you turn the phone over. I wonder just how long it will take him to wear it out. He dances to his stuffed Rudolph that plays "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" and has a red nose that blinks. Christmas was just the right time to buy him "big boy" gifts as he is about to be 1 year old. Since kids really start to become coordinated and understand how things work, there are a lot of toys that help to develop his skills like a Tonka Truck to push, walk and ride, an Elmo surfboard to ride and Daddy's favorite...a Big Wheel! This is a precious little version of the original that is made for 1-year olds. Actually, it's probably for 18-month olds since Connor's legs are about 2 inches too short right now. Brad suggested that we get him platform shoes. :) He received a rocking horse, but it's also a little too big for him now. We got him a little red wagon and took him for a walk today. I think he really enjoyed having a new way to be driven around instead of being strapped into a stroller. It will be fun to watch him learn to play with the new toys.
